Fair Usage Policy tracking

Barracuda WAFaaS now enables you to track the total Bandwidth and no. of requests transacted on your application.

 Currently, the account is said to be within the fair usage limits, when

  • Total Bandwidth consumption <= 5 TB per month

  • Total Requests <= 50 million per month

 These limits are calculated at the account level, cumulative of all onboarded applications.

An account will be identified as exceeding the fair usage limit only when average consumption across all apps, over 3 consecutive calendar months exceeds the threshold.

 Where to View Usage

You can now monitor your usage directly from the WAFaaS user interface in two locations:

  1. License Page

    • Shows average bandwidth and request volume across all applications for the previous 3-calendar months.

 

  1. Reports Page → Fair Usage Report

    • If you are interested to view the usage of an individual application, it’s possible to drill down into an application-level view of the data. 

    • This report displays per-application bandwidth and request metrics, enabling more granular tracking.
