Predefined Allowed Bots by ASN
1685963538105

With Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service it is now possible to add a Predefined Bot from the Barracuda Bot Dictionary that is defined by using the Autonomous System Number (ASN) for the bots network. A common example of a bot that is defined this way is the FacebookBot which has an ASN of AS32934.
As an example, to add a Predefined Bot such as the FacebookBot you can browse to BOT PROTECTION > Predefined Bots > Click Add Bot > Search for Facebook From Barracuda Bot Dictionary > select FacebookBot and Add.

The FacebookBot will then be added to the list of Allowed Bots where you can see it is defined by an ASN Group Name.

With this feature, we hope you will find it much easier to allow specific bots and prevent false positives with your applications Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
