We are deploying a new version of WAF-as-a-Service’s backend infrastructure across all our regions. The new version offers new features, faster configuration propagation (10-30 seconds instead of 5 minutes), and faster scaling to meet traffic demands.

To deploy this new version, we will be taking each region offline for an hour or two to perform maintenance. Applications deployed to a region under maintenance will have their traffic diverted to the Backup Region selected on the Endpoints page for up to two hours. There will be no downtime, though you may experience slightly higher latency if the Backup Region you selected is further from your application servers.

All maintenance will be scheduled in advance and visible on our Statuspage at https://barracuda.statuspage.io/ . Click the blue “subscribe to updates” button at the top to receive email or SMS updates on maintenance activity. We strongly recommend you subscribe to updates for the next few weeks, as your region(s) are sure to be affected.

We optimize the timing of our maintenance to be on weekend nights for the majority of the world. Our next two scheduled updates are:
